Insecurities...Overcome them! Pt. 1

Insecurity- 1. lack of confidence or assurance; self-doubt:  - dictionary.com
Insecurities seem to cloud a woman's mind, over take her thoughts of herself, her abilities, and attributes.  Every woman goes through it, a feeling of inadequateness, comparing one's self to another woman either friend or on television. Listening to other women at the gym, mall, or reading a magazine on what is the proper silhouette for each size of a woman. It is hard as a human being not meeting expectation especially of a society that is constantly promoting a false image of an ideal woman. No one ever really tells you about Photoshop editing that is done in photos or how the woman in the photo has her own insecurities she is dealing with in her own life. She feels just as insecure but it is possibly in a different area than those envying her.

Another way insecurities are planted within us is from our own friends! Yes, our friends can plant insecure feelings within us! We listen to them talk about their insecure issues, I know this us true, I have sometimes have done the same thing. Usually joking about myself but how does my friend know I am serious or not since we are just talking?   Are they looking at themselves and seeing the same flaws that "we" say are flaws.
Growing up in my house, I was blessed to have a mother that was always encouraging everything about me. Anything I thought was a flaw or a problem area, she was working to help me overcome those thoughts within myself and see the beauty of God's creation.
As parents, you must remember that your children can possibly carry your insecurities, listening to you everyday speaking negative words about yourself. A child will start to look at themselves in the mirror and worry about themselves. Then you begin to wonder, why does my child think so negative of themselves? How did this start? Sadly, it started with you!
That brings me to the point that your insecurities could have came from family drama and parents' insecurities.  Some parents have placed their own emotions, desires, and struggles on their children. You could have adapted their problems but you have the power to overcome those issues by seeing the best of God's creation; by not comparing ourselves to the world's standards and unrealistic expectation.

Romans 12:2 ESV

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Your challenge is to wake up each day and tell yourself..
"I am beautiful. I am wonderfully made. It starts with my smile, it is a sign of his grace; his love is displayed in my eyes, the color determined by faith. My hair is his glory, his light shines from my face.  My figure is perfecting, perfection is made through Christ. I am more than a conquer, insecurities will leave my life!"- Prophetess Tashaye
If you want to add more, please do, post it throughout your house, on your computer, in your purse, remember ... you’re beautiful!
Jude 1:2  ESV
May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Let us as women today take the time to find value in ourselves by noticing our characteristics and substance! Rather it is our laughter, our smile, kindness, giving, mercy, grace, polished style...

What attributes contribute to your true beauty?
How often are you discouraging yourself?
How can we be encourager of God and discourage his creation?

Image is Everything...

My Vintage Looks
When your coming to church...Image is Everything!

How you present yourself says something, the question is, What do you want to say? Many people debate this topic over and over again but I am not here to debate. I am here to educate. If you can wear the right apparel for job interviews than why not to church? And you can do as the employer ask in the dress code but find it offensive by the church to be asked to dress a certain way. Come on Women of GOD!

Proverbs 31:25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

25Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future [the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it]!

As a young woman in the church and ministry, I have learned how to present myself to the body of Christ in order to be received, because my purpose/message is bigger than my attire so why debate over it? So, You haven't been to church in a while and if your like me you want to stay fashionable.

Remember when your getting dressed for church service that you are not going to the mall, kicking it with your friends, or school. You are going to church. This is the Kingdom of God and we must remember that when we are getting dressed for church.

For example, if you put on an outfit and your first thought is "Wow, this makes me look sexy" Sexy should not be your agenda when attending church. I am sorry. God does not want to know how sexy you can dress in his temple.

Nor does God want to know how great your legs look in heels so, please bring the skirt length down. I'm sorry. That is not why we come to church. We should not aim to be a distraction in the church. That is not our goal. Yes, your beautiful! You must believe that even without dressing that way in church. We are Queens and Princesses in God's kingdom and we should look that way at all times. What  I am saying is, you can look fashion trendy, holy, and acceptable to Jesus Christ all at the same time.

Everyone expects church to take you as you are even after you have come to the knowledge of what is right. It is just like a job, you might wear one thing and they tell you hey, the employer say no to that, be honest we will not wear it again. Why? Cause we want to keep our job but we feel that God gets what I give him. We should dress as royalty, clothing ourselves in righteousness and holiness. God should be the one shining through us.

One thing my Pastor always tells us, God will bring the conviction and change so, you do not have to tell people, you just walk in it and God will do the rest. When your really after God own heart, you will do it, cause your sincere about God but those of you who know better but do whatever, Lets do better for the King. It is all to the King.

Take value in your attire. Dress as a Virtuous Woman. Walk as a Holy woman.

Real Love...How do you know?

So How do you know?..... if it is well Real?!?!?!

It's  funny how you go to a restaurant and I, myself, love Coca Cola, and it puzzles me when asked by a waiter or waitress, What do you like to drink? I would say," well Coke" and they would say, " Pepsi?" or " RC?" as if there the same but it is not the REAL thing. It doesn't taste the same and the exterior isn't the same. It is more like the generic form of Coke. I do not take any substitutes or look-alike to the real thing.

One thing I have learned in my relationship with God is REAL love. Last, Sunday at church, God's loves overflowed the atmosphere and I felt his anointing shower love on me. This love can not be written about in movies, it is not scripted, or man made. His love sometimes feels unexplainable to those that have no relationship with him but yet we try day to day to help others understand this love is real.

His love is pure. It is without blemish. Just as our Worship to him should be. His love is without judgement but does come with rebuke, consequences, and order. Yes, God does let you know your going against his word and truth but he does it with grace and mercy.

Yes, his love does not lie. Unbelievable isn't it? With lies being spoken to you everyday and played out for you on television. You can trust him at his word. He left his word so we would have a resource to carry us along our journey with him and to try to bring an understanding of his love. His word is an example of his love.

His love is unconditional. He shares his love with you even when your undeserving. When you deny him or when you do not recognize who he is in your life and ignore his call out to you. He loves you! He showed us his love in giving his life then rose on the third day and he had not met you yet! But he did it. He did it for you and me, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, mom and dad.

His love is forgiving. He forgives but we lag in our forgiveness. We even come up with reasons why our UN-forgiveness is justified as if we can change but others can't. He laughs and we call ourselves one of his own. Yet, we can't let go of the past to SOAR in our future. Then we wonder why our blessings are held up because we blocked up with UN-forgiveness.

His love is action. We can see it. With every sun rise and every sunset, his love is visible to us so how can we question it? But we do. Was his death not enough? Was his pain not enough? He wakes you up every morning. That is his love in your face reflected through the mirrors. His love.

Real love is tangible. Real love is brings joy with every new day with HIM. Real love is roughing it through the storm together. Real love is not associated with abuse physical or mental. It is not forced but is given willingly.  That is why I willingly surrender to Praising him and Worshiping him in spite of everything else in the world. Real love requires communication. Real love starts in friendships.

Real love accepts you. Real love expects great works from you and works you; not against you. Real love has memories you can smile about the next day and years later. It is comforting. It isn't perfect but worked to perfection by the word of God.

Real love requires work. It is built on a solid foundation and let me tell you...God is the only ROCK I know! So, build on him, not on you, they, or them because when you build on him, you & him with God, will stand. When your sick, real love takes the time to get you back to health.

Real love taught by God can be exhibited in your smile, eyes, walk, talk and lifestyle. Real love doesn't separate you from family or friends buts draws you together through thick and thin but it can not dwell with sin.

Real love brings abundance, elevation, promotion, peace, joy, strength, endurance, health, faith, trust, and overflow.

Wait for God to teach you and show you his real love. His Fresh Holy Anointed LOVE.
You would never settle for any substitutes once you have surrendered to his Real love.

Be Blessed

I am a work in progress....

Yes, it is true,

I am a work in progress. I have not arrived to some ultimate level of superiority, that I do not make mistakes or have any faults.

I am a work in progress. I am not there. Is anyone there? I mean there. It takes time and Christ to learn how to get past your flesh and people. The enemy is always looking for ways to attack you or if not you, someone near you is used to get to you but we must learn how to "step" over those emotional fleshly temptations.

I am a work in progress. I make mistakes.  I am being perfected right in front of your eyes through Christ as well as you are in front of me. You are watching me and I am watching you. Everyone is watching each other, concerned with them noticing there mistakes or slip-ups.

I am a work in progress. I am surrendering my will to the Father. He is molding me to his creation for his glory. His artistry is priceless and effortless but necessary in my growth. I was once bound to society, family, friends, and people but through him, I have found freedom to soar as an eagle. He is my only judge but I am to follow him and lead others to him.

I am a work in progress. I am making changes to my life everyday. I have changed my attire, my matter, my talk, my walk, and my friends. I have changed how I spend my time and whom I am spending my time with as well. I am changing the purpose behind my conversations; do God get the Glory or this just MY story?

I am a work in progress. I am no longer the tail. My eyes have been opened and no longer am I blinded by the glamour of the world. “Charmers” no longer fool me and I am now an encourager to myself. I am confident in him and I am bigger than they because of HIM.

I am a work in progress. I have access to greatness. I am royalty in his Kingdom and rich beyond your wildest dreams. A roaring lion does not scare me anymore, nor does a lying tongue because I am more than a conquer through Christ Jesus, I have my word with me, and his words carry all power.

I am a work in progress. I am no longer stubborn. For every argument I walk away from, God rises up in me, for every fight I turn away from, God rises up in me, For every apology I give and never ask why, God rises up in me, Every time I hold my tongue, God rises up in me.

I am His work in progress and His work In Progress I shall BE!

I am accountable to God. God uses me. I am a vessel for God and he is steadily working on me daily. Be patience for his works are breath taking and priceless.

Amazing Women Of God

- Dedicated to the Awesome Women of God that I am blessed to know!

I just had an amazing time with some awesome women of God celebrating a birthday. As we sat together at the table, I looked at all their faces, their smiles, listen to jokes, and saw their personality show up in many different ways.  I thought to myself, this is the start of something BEAUTIFUL, because God is the center of attention.

Women loving one another. Appreciating One Another. Uplifting one Another.
Supporting each other in Christ.
All with their own identities in God and made him their friend first.

That is the difference in Godly friendships. In order to build and have everlasting friendships in Christ you must befriend God first. He teaches us how to be good to one another and how to treat your neighbor as yourself.

Yes, we all come from different backgrounds, states, cities, and towns but when God is the common focus of your life the blend is flavorful. I laughed. Look at God! At work, right at this table, in each and everyone of us. All of us displaying his glory in this fellowship together. Everyone supporting each other, listening to each other, and allowing God to build an amazing unit with us and him. We are one body with many parts. We work together.

No one was dissing the other, no one envy of the other, no one mistreating the other but everyone looked forward to spending time together.

Young women of God socializing together in such a positive way.

The valuable jewels God has hidden and kept to himself are these women of God and I am sure there are many more jewels out there but I can only talk about these few. I look around my church at the array of awesome women of God. God just keeps planting them and placing us together to glorify him. Each loving one another truly and sincerely.

God's glory is displayed through them in such a strong positive, pure, and amazing way. Each one is beautiful, created for & in God's glory. He gave them smiles like the sun shining on a summer day. Yes, you need shades. He blessed them with independence and the ability to stand against every obstacle that has came their way. He made them strong with delightful personalities. He gave his tender mercy and love & kindness to share with everyone they meet. He created feminine, thoughtful, God-fearing, saved, single, and prayerful women of God with a servants heart.

He blessed their hands with great talents and abilities.
They are creative, ambitious, caring, giving, thoughtful, and loving women.

God allowed his glory to shine around them every where they go so that their noticed without even trying. He planted his desires in their hearts and they seek him the more everyday. They look to God to plan their day. Their excited about him and his wondrous works in their lives. You can see the excitement for him in their lifestyle.

I am thankful just to know them. Just to be apart of their lives at this moment and time.      We as women must learn to appreciate each other and to not mistreat each other. No one is perfect but we are all working to perfection. Building Godly friendships is important in your walk with Christ. You now have a prayer partner, praise partner, and worship buddies.

Iron sharping Iron.

Look at the jewels God has blessed you with and appreciate your blessings. I do!

I love who God created me to be. Don't you?

One day I look at myself in the mirror, yes myself, no make-up, not dressed up, just me. I could see so much in me. I am not sure most people can even see.
I see
A strong woman.
Dedicated to Christ.
Passionate
Compassionate
Humble,
Wise,
Independent,
Tall, fun, joyous, gracious, thankful, with so much potential and room to grow.Yes, she has shed a few tears and even got angry but sin not.
She has been talked about, put down, mistreated and misused but she has grown stronger through everything.
No she is not perfect, she aims to do her best, with high hopes and BIG dreams.
A huge calling.
Ready to be used by God.
I see a woman of God.

What do you see in the mirror? I challenge you to take the time to look in the mirror without your make-up and dressed up.

And tell me what do you see? What do you really see?

Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be True, Be Naturally YOU!

I am amazed to see how many women today have forgotten their worth and value. They have lost their true beauty. I cannot blame them alone because society plays a great part in a woman’s mindset. It is time for women to reclaim their confidence, value, and self-worth. It is time for us to break the mold and accept ourselves just the way God created us to be.
I know it sounds simple but it is not as easy as you think. I speak from experience; I had to grow into learning and accepting everything about me.
Learning to be who you are and stay happy while doing it is a struggle for many women. I know some of you may already have it together. THAT IS GREAT! I am happy you have already figured this out, please read on to find out how to encourage others.
I am here to encourage you to accept yourself and realize the value in who you are. Life is not about meeting someone else standard or making everyone else happy. It is about doing things for yourself and no longer being bound by others' expectations but God's.
Speaking for myself, I would like to say that, I had to learn to be independent and self-sufficient. I learned to see the value in me. My compassion for people, my love for God & ministry, as well as the talents and gifts that I have been blessed with are all treasures in my life.
SO LADIES...
Be BOLD!
- Fearless and adventurous: willing and eager to face danger or adventure with a sense of confidence and fearlessness
- Requiring or showing daring: requiring or showing fearlessness, daring, and often originality
Encarta World English Dictionary

You may ask, “How can I be BOLD?”
First, be confident. Be sure of whom you are, your beliefs, morals and ethics.  Do not allow people to dictate your value. Stand up for yourself!  I have seen so many women today who allow men, life, family, and other various situations to lower their sense of worth. Jesus already bought you for a price, which was his life; this means your worth is more than anything on earth is.
No longer should you settle for second best. Be willing to wait for the BEST because you are the best you that you can be in Him! No longer should you lower your standards to accept below average!
Many of us can easily say that there are areas of our lives in which we lack that self-confidence.  I know I have had points in my life where I felt I could not or should not but I overcame those thoughts with God. Some of us developed low self-worth because of how we taught, people telling you that you cannot do anything or you will never be anyone special.  These types of thoughts are what cause low self-esteem and help develop the mindset that you should settle for less.

Be Beautiful!
- pleasing and impressive qualities of something: the combination of qualities that make something pleasing and impressive to look at, listen to, touch, smell, or taste
- Pleasing personal appearance: personal physical attractiveness,
- Beautiful woman: a beautiful woman or girl
True Beauty is not when you put on makeup. Makeup enhances our physical attributes but it is not what makes us beautiful. Being confident, accepting you, and embracing who you are and living a life that honors God is beautiful.
Your character traits, ambition, and how your carry yourself make up your true beauty. Notice I did not say any physical attributes, though they make up your outer appearance that is just the icing on the cake!
Be beautiful, be yourself! Embrace your curves, your smile, full/small lips, hips, slim build, cheeks, dimples and anything else.
Real Beauty is not what you see in magazines.
If you are putting all your hopes into your outer appearance then I am sorry to burst your bubble, but those attributes will not last forever. As you get older your body changes, so my hope is that you are not placing all of your value into your physical looks.
Real Beauty is your love for others, compassion, passion for life, your grace, mercy, your smile, your laugh, and the list can go on.
One day my friends were describing me. I was pleasantly surprised because the things they mentioned were my characteristics, not my physical attributes. They spoke of my thoughtfulness, generosity, my love for ministry and boldness in who I am. They pointed out things of value, things that someone can only know if they took the time to truly get to know me. They spoke of me with high regard and the utmost respect. I love the things they said, it really touched my heart to know they can see the REAL me, the true me.
Take the time to ask friends and family about you. You may surprised by what they say.
Where do you place your value? What makes you beautiful? Make a list!

BE True,
- Genuine: genuine, not pretended, insincere, or artificial
Be real with yourself and everyone around you! Be true to YOU!
Let us stop trying to meet everyone else's idea of who we should be and how we should behave.
No more faking, pretending, and living as if you are happy. Just be genuine!
Being the best you can be in God is the truest thing you can do.
As long as you are not degrading yourself, family, and values then just do it.
Why can't the job promotion be yours?
Why can't you go back to school?
Why can't you start your own business?
Why can't you cut your hair?
Why can't you become President?
Why can't you become a great writer, singer, filmmaker, artist etc?
There is no limit to your abilities in Christ Jesus. We know with Him all things are possible. Can GOD? GOD CAN!
Be original, be honest, be authentic, be impressive, be strong, and be yourself!

BE NATURALLY YOU!
Normal
Regular
Ordinary

Just be yourself! Being normal, as expected, ordinary, regular and doing the things you would likely do. Is that really hard? Sometimes it can be. We get worried about fitting in, or being part of the in-crowd but sometimes it is ok to stand alone. It is fine to be different that is what will complete your beauty and make it natural. I have always been different. I have never felt like “part of the crowd.” I have always felt like I am supposed to be different. The Bible recognizes this, and calls us “His peculiar people”. Also, the Bible does mention the Proverbs 31 woman is rare.  So, if you not a part of what is popular, that’s ok, being the best you can be in God is far more satisfying than pretending to be something you’re not.
Ladies, it is time to rise up to the place that God has created for you. Now is the time to reclaim your power, confidence, self-esteem, value, and self-worth! I could go on and on all day about this but I thought I would do a short overview and then get more detailed in each area as God directs me in writing these pieces.
Remember…
BE BOLD,
BE BEAUTIFUL,
BE TRUE,
 BE NATURALLY YOU!
