Living Holy, Who said it was Easy...

In a conversation with another sister in Christ, the comment was made that living Holy isn't easy, because of all the sin in the world everywhere you go. Well, I can agree it is not easy especially for someone new in Christ. Many of us see people doing it everyday and you wonder, How do they do it ? or Do they ever get tempted?

Psalm 101:1-4

I will sing of mercy and justice;
To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
2
I will behave wisely in a perfect way.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3
I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not cling to me.
4
A perverse heart shall depart from me;
I will not know wickedness.

Yes, everyone gets tempted, but you do not have to give in to temptation. Even the devil tempted Jesus while he was fasting. And to say your never tempted isn't true, because we are flesh but everyone may not have the same temptation.  One person may not feel tempted in one thing while that same thing could be a temptation to someone else.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
We must learn how to rise above temptation and separate ourselves spiritually & naturally from ungodly things that will tempt us.

Ps. 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

We might even have to release some friendships that seem to bring us back to the past we are giving up for Christ. Yes, that is hard, to give up years of friendships just to maintain a Holy lifestyle. I want you to know that God will send you friends with the same belief and thoughts as he and you. They will be people you can pray with, sing praises with, and enjoy God with them as well. You will no longer feel you have to hide your beliefs to keep a friend. If they are real friends they will respect your lifestyle change and not persecute you.

Sometimes it seems like your losing a lot but actually your gaining more than you can imagine.

 Matt. 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Also to keep a solid foundation in Christ you must stay in your word. You have to keep reading the Bible and learning the steps to being like Christ. The Bible shows you how to live with sin all around you and be above it.  When you are feeling tempted to slip back, you will have the word of God hidden in your heart and able to repeat God's word in times of distress or weakness. You can even use it to help friends and family, you know will benefit from God's wisdom.
 Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

As women, we have to break free from ungodly relationships and not enter into relationships with gentlemen who look good but we know their not good for you.  The feeling of loneliness will try to come up on you but again you will rise above it.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Rise above your emotions. Rise above your flesh. Rise above and be lifted up. Why? Because you uplift the name of Jesus he will continue to elevate you!

1 Corinthians 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Jesus has been the best example of a disciplined person in life. If fasting was needed, He Fasted. Prayer needed, he prayed. Time to teach, he taught.  He was always quick to move when the word of God was given, spoken, and heard. When you read the life of Christ, you can see how important disciplined lifestyle is for men & women of God.

Proverbs 25:28  A person without self-control is as defenseless as a city with broken-down walls.

Real Love...How do you know?

So How do you know?..... if it is well Real?!?!?!

It's  funny how you go to a restaurant and I, myself, love Coca Cola, and it puzzles me when asked by a waiter or waitress, What do you like to drink? I would say," well Coke" and they would say, " Pepsi?" or " RC?" as if there the same but it is not the REAL thing. It doesn't taste the same and the exterior isn't the same. It is more like the generic form of Coke. I do not take any substitutes or look-alike to the real thing.

One thing I have learned in my relationship with God is REAL love. Last, Sunday at church, God's loves overflowed the atmosphere and I felt his anointing shower love on me. This love can not be written about in movies, it is not scripted, or man made. His love sometimes feels unexplainable to those that have no relationship with him but yet we try day to day to help others understand this love is real.

His love is pure. It is without blemish. Just as our Worship to him should be. His love is without judgement but does come with rebuke, consequences, and order. Yes, God does let you know your going against his word and truth but he does it with grace and mercy.

Yes, his love does not lie. Unbelievable isn't it? With lies being spoken to you everyday and played out for you on television. You can trust him at his word. He left his word so we would have a resource to carry us along our journey with him and to try to bring an understanding of his love. His word is an example of his love.

His love is unconditional. He shares his love with you even when your undeserving. When you deny him or when you do not recognize who he is in your life and ignore his call out to you. He loves you! He showed us his love in giving his life then rose on the third day and he had not met you yet! But he did it. He did it for you and me, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, mom and dad.

His love is forgiving. He forgives but we lag in our forgiveness. We even come up with reasons why our UN-forgiveness is justified as if we can change but others can't. He laughs and we call ourselves one of his own. Yet, we can't let go of the past to SOAR in our future. Then we wonder why our blessings are held up because we blocked up with UN-forgiveness.

His love is action. We can see it. With every sun rise and every sunset, his love is visible to us so how can we question it? But we do. Was his death not enough? Was his pain not enough? He wakes you up every morning. That is his love in your face reflected through the mirrors. His love.

Real love is tangible. Real love is brings joy with every new day with HIM. Real love is roughing it through the storm together. Real love is not associated with abuse physical or mental. It is not forced but is given willingly.  That is why I willingly surrender to Praising him and Worshiping him in spite of everything else in the world. Real love requires communication. Real love starts in friendships.

Real love accepts you. Real love expects great works from you and works you; not against you. Real love has memories you can smile about the next day and years later. It is comforting. It isn't perfect but worked to perfection by the word of God.

Real love requires work. It is built on a solid foundation and let me tell you...God is the only ROCK I know! So, build on him, not on you, they, or them because when you build on him, you & him with God, will stand. When your sick, real love takes the time to get you back to health.

Real love taught by God can be exhibited in your smile, eyes, walk, talk and lifestyle. Real love doesn't separate you from family or friends buts draws you together through thick and thin but it can not dwell with sin.

Real love brings abundance, elevation, promotion, peace, joy, strength, endurance, health, faith, trust, and overflow.

Wait for God to teach you and show you his real love. His Fresh Holy Anointed LOVE.
You would never settle for any substitutes once you have surrendered to his Real love.

Be Blessed

I am a work in progress....

Yes, it is true,

I am a work in progress. I have not arrived to some ultimate level of superiority, that I do not make mistakes or have any faults.

 I am a work in progress. I am not there. Is anyone there? I mean there. It takes time and Christ to learn how to get past your flesh and people. The enemy is always looking for ways to attack you or if not you, someone near you is used to get to you but we must learn how to "step" over those emotional fleshly temptations.

I am a work in progress. I make mistakes.  I am being perfected right in front of your eyes through Christ as well as you are in front of me. You are watching me and I am watching you. Everyone is watching each other, concerned with them noticing there mistakes or slip-ups.

I am a work in progress. I am surrendering my will to the Father. He is molding me to his creation for his glory. His artistry is priceless and effortless but necessary in my growth. I was once bound to society, family, friends, and people but through him, I have found freedom to soar as an eagle. He is my only judge but I am to follow him and lead others to him.

I am a work in progress. I am making changes to my life everyday. I have changed my attire, my matter, my talk, my walk, and my friends. I have changed how I spend my time and whom I am spending my time with as well. I am changing the purpose behind my conversations; do God get the Glory or this just MY story?

I am a work in progress. I am no longer the tail. My eyes have been opened and no longer am I blinded by the glamour of the world. “Charmers” no longer fool me and I am now an encourager to myself. I am confident in him and I am bigger than they because of HIM.

I am a work in progress. I have access to greatness. I am royalty in his Kingdom and rich beyond your wildest dreams. A roaring lion does not scare me anymore, nor does a lying tongue because I am more than a conquer through Christ Jesus, I have my word with me, and his words carry all power.

I am a work in progress. I am no longer stubborn. For every argument I walk away from, God rises up in me, for every fight I turn away from, God rises up in me, For every apology I give and never ask why, God rises up in me, Every time I hold my tongue, God rises up in me.

I am His work in progress and His work In Progress I shall BE!

I am accountable to God. God uses me. I am a vessel for God and he is steadily working on me daily. Be patience for his works are breath taking and priceless.

If it wasn't for my mother...

Smiles...Laughs....

If it wasn't for my mother...

My Mother. My Mom. My Mama. How ever you want to call her, she is the reason you are who you are and how you are today. Yes, fathers too but this is about my mother. Some people may take that in a negative way but don't. This was ordained and approved by God. Everyone has a mother, she is the one who bathe you, taught you, knows you, and God created her for you. She isn't perfect but as I always say, Who is? My mother always told me that they do not give a manual on how to be a mother and I would say, Nor do they give a manual on how to be a daughter.

My mother is a beautiful lady, full of laughs, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, character and substance. After studying the Proverbs 31 woman, I realized how much my mother was like her. As a child, she made everything fun even cleaning, yes she has always been a creative person. Everyone that meets her adores her just because she is always herself. She taught me how to be myself and accept myself. Even at a point in my life when I dealt with low self esteem. Surprisingly, I did not see the beauty I see now in myself. I did not recognize my natural beauty or the glory God placed on me but my mother always did.

Proverbs 1:8-9:
   8My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
   9For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

Mother..A hard job and responsibility. So many children being given up or taken a way from their parents because of treatment or their parents lifestyle. Thankful enough, I had a a mother that choose me over herself, her dreams, her goals, and her happiness. Instead, her dreams became me, her lifestyle became me, her thoughts were of my safety, and her happiness was found in my smile. My Mother, an amazing woman, strong independent, ambitious, encouraging, determine, God-fearing, and always making the impossible to others, possible.

If it wasn't for my mother who knows where I would have been today or doing. Yes, she was over protective, but she had to be with so much evil in the world. Sure, I did not get to go to all the events or everywhere my friends would go but I couldn't because she knew all along what was best for me as her daughter. Yea, we were not the Cosby's, but we were always a family. She made time for me even when she didn't have time for herself. My mother always telling me how I can do bigger and greater things. Always exposing me the finer things in life and supporting me in all my goals & dreams.

Passage Ephesians 6:1
 1CHILDREN, OBEY your parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right.

If it wasn't for my mother would I have met God when I did. Who knows? She saved my life and presented eternal life to me by introduce Christ in my life. She always kept me in church and we were always participating in church activities. At first, I hated it, but as I got older  I realized everything she did was for my best. Her goal all along through Christ was to bring out my BEST! The best smile, my best efforts, the best works, and the best in everything I do. Never settling for average and low standards. She and Christ built a standard in my life that I just can't bring down the bar. She helped me deal with what I considered flaws and helped me cope with my own imperfections. No, she never thought I wasn't a great daughter but she instead of telling me cause I couldn't see, she showed me and now I see.

So yes, your mother is hard on you and expects more but that is because she knows your best. She knows you. God gave you to her and her to you. She learns you and you learned her. She is your blessing and you were her gift.  When I look and see the difference my mom makes in people's lives, it brings me joy, happiness, and honor. You should work hard to make your mom proud of you and her proud of herself. I have seen some daughter not give there mothers' respect, honor, and appreciation. Regardless, you have to obey mom even when you do not agree.

Passage Ephesians 6:2:
   2Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
    2Honor (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother--this is the first commandment with a promise--(A)

Honor:
High respect, as that shown for special merit; esteem:
Good name; reputation.
Principled uprightness of character; personal integrity.

 I know some people have problems with their mother or the relationship isn't that great but life is short so to walk around with strife, unforgiveness, and anger against your parents. Any moment, Any day, and at any time they could leave you and would you really want to leave things where they are or move forward to a happier life with Christ.  If you need help to move forward, then seek help from a neutral party that has sound Godly advice. It is not about who is right or admitting fault, it is about accepting your responsibility in the relationship and letting it go to build it together again.

Ephesians 6:3
    3That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.

I love my mother! She means alot to me. I am thankful, that I can go talk to her, and she can come chill out with me. We can have lunch together and have meaningful conversation. We shop together and laugh together. I respect her and she respects me as her daughter. I am so proud of her and how she allow God to take over her life. She has been the best example to me.

Exodus 20:12:
   12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
She surprised me one day when she said how open I am to friends of all races. She said she was proud of me. I am thankful she taught me how not to judge a book by its cover but look beyond the cover and read the story. She taught me how to be friendly. The only reason she was able to be this great mother is because of God. He instructed her. She listened. She taught us ( me and my sister) all she knew and did her best so God could do the rest.
Matthew 15:4:
   4For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

Love your mother!
Appreciate your mother. She is yours. You are hers. Your each others. Enjoy each other.

I know I do. I love you mother!
