Encouragement for your Weekend.... "The Single Gift"

"The Single Gift"

How blessed you are, you single one,
Don't talk of care and woes.
You've got too much to be thankful for,
Oh what, you'd like to know.

It's no mistake, no misdirection
Of God's perfect plan
That you've not found your special lady
Or you, that certain man.

God loves you so and has much more
To give then you've ever received.
That He's giving His best to you right now,
You really must believe.

His best is Himself, do you have it in full
Or only a bit on the side?
No man can meet your needs like God,
Nor can a lovely bride.

If your life's not complete, you know that Jesus is
And your life He will fill
If you'll only put Him first each day
And live to do His will.

He's gifted you for undistracted
Devotion to the Lord.
There should be nothing that can interfere
With Him and prayer and the Word.

Unless you let down the guard of your heart
And let others take His place,
Then you'll lack joy and peace and hope
And not experience His grace.

So give your heart right back to God,
Let Him keep it safe for you.
And when it's better then His best,
He'll make your one into two.

~Donna L. Mihura ~

As an unmarried woman, you have an advantage and opportunity to spend as much time doing the will of the Lord. The time to build your relationship with the Lord without distractions. As a single woman you are married to the Lord, you devote your time and effort to him, when he is ready he will give you to the right mate. So, don't sit around waiting on God to send the one but spend your time working in your local church and building the Kingdom of God. Now is the time! While you have the time!

Keeping a Holy Attitude...

Has there ever been a time you were placed in a situation that seemed unjust? But the first reply that came to your head with fleshly, negative, and out right would have not been a Holy Attitude?

Let's be honest,  we have been in the situation where someone got under our skin and we wanted to tell them how to put it and where to go because we are fleshly beings the enemy is always telling you what you should say or do. With God there is a better way to response if you are slow to speak and quick to listen.

James 1:19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

If we are going to be walking in holiness and the Bible says, 1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy, if our mindsets are Holy then our attitudes must display the thinking or Christ. Remember the saying, What would Jesus do? That is the mindset we must have and our conversations must still be holy. We must not think, Oh I dare them! or Do they not know who I am? but look at who Jesus was and is still today. He is being talked about, misrepresented, accused, doubted, and joked about. Though he sat at the right hand of our God, he came on earth as a servant man, made human to start from the bottom to rise back to the top. He could have taken the same attitude and gave in to the flesh but he didn't because his purpose was bigger than that situation or accusations.

Jesus taught us humility in his life. He did not boast or demand anything which he could have being the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That is not saying we can never speak up for ourselves but we must remember to use wisdom. We can calmly speak and defend ourselves or present the situation as we saw it. Sometimes we should just speak our battles wisely and some things aren't worth the fight. When you know who is in control and you believe your purpose is bigger than why fight? Do they know who you serve? Do they know the God you serve? We can not fault people for the lack of knowledge. We must pray for them even when they offend us.

It takes a strong person to become humble and walk away from a dispute. We couldn't do this on our own strength but God's strength has the ability to overcome anything of the flesh. Having a strong relationship with God will make it easy to be humble. Humility is not weakness. Having a solid foundation to stand on will help you understand when you speak and when to just listen.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

We must become humble without murmuring, complaining about it, and seeking revenge thinking, The next time I will get them! We must remember when we found Christ our conversation changed, we put off the old man for the new man, our walk changes, and our life changes. Christ died for us in love. That same love is expected of us to die daily so Christ can rise up within us.

To love God, we must love people. Jesus acted in love. We must act in love.  Again, we must love God and love his people! If we continue in love in our walk with the Lord it will show in our lifestyle.
Gal. 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Love doesn't seek to destroy but love supports, build, and strengthens. God will never place you in a situation in were your self-value and self worth will be demolished. We must remember to be kind and compassionate to one another. We must trust God in all things even when it don't make sense.  We must remember to forgive!

Luke 6:29 To the one who strikes you on the jaw or cheek, offer the other jaw or cheek also;

When faced with a tough situation always remember to PRAY! Prayer changes things, rearranges things, and re-positions things. Prayer works! Something isn't working out or is stressing you out. Pray that God gives you wisdom in your actions and pray mercy over that person that has offended you. Must people do not even realize who their messing with in the Spirit. They do not know about your anointing or your ability to call God to your rescue. So pray for people. Do not hold it against them. You know the enemy is working everyday to kill, steal and destroy your future. So do not allow an attitude to stop a blessing.

Matt 5:44-45 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Insecurities...Overcome them! Pt. 1

Insecurity- 1. lack of confidence or assurance; self-doubt:  - dictionary.com
Insecurities seem to cloud a woman's mind, over take her thoughts of herself, her abilities, and attributes.  Every woman goes through it, a feeling of inadequateness, comparing one's self to another woman either friend or on television. Listening to other women at the gym, mall, or reading a magazine on what is the proper silhouette for each size of a woman. It is hard as a human being not meeting expectation especially of a society that is constantly promoting a false image of an ideal woman. No one ever really tells you about Photoshop editing that is done in photos or how the woman in the photo has her own insecurities she is dealing with in her own life. She feels just as insecure but it is possibly in a different area than those envying her.

Another way insecurities are planted within us is from our own friends! Yes, our friends can plant insecure feelings within us! We listen to them talk about their insecure issues, I know this us true, I have sometimes have done the same thing. Usually joking about myself but how does my friend know I am serious or not since we are just talking?   Are they looking at themselves and seeing the same flaws that "we" say are flaws.
Growing up in my house, I was blessed to have a mother that was always encouraging everything about me. Anything I thought was a flaw or a problem area, she was working to help me overcome those thoughts within myself and see the beauty of God's creation.
As parents, you must remember that your children can possibly carry your insecurities, listening to you everyday speaking negative words about yourself. A child will start to look at themselves in the mirror and worry about themselves. Then you begin to wonder, why does my child think so negative of themselves? How did this start? Sadly, it started with you!
That brings me to the point that your insecurities could have came from family drama and parents' insecurities.  Some parents have placed their own emotions, desires, and struggles on their children. You could have adapted their problems but you have the power to overcome those issues by seeing the best of God's creation; by not comparing ourselves to the world's standards and unrealistic expectation.

Romans 12:2 ESV

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Your challenge is to wake up each day and tell yourself..
"I am beautiful. I am wonderfully made. It starts with my smile, it is a sign of his grace; his love is displayed in my eyes, the color determined by faith. My hair is his glory, his light shines from my face.  My figure is perfecting, perfection is made through Christ. I am more than a conquer, insecurities will leave my life!"- Prophetess Tashaye
If you want to add more, please do, post it throughout your house, on your computer, in your purse, remember ... you’re beautiful!
Jude 1:2  ESV
May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Let us as women today take the time to find value in ourselves by noticing our characteristics and substance! Rather it is our laughter, our smile, kindness, giving, mercy, grace, polished style...

What attributes contribute to your true beauty?
How often are you discouraging yourself?
How can we be encourager of God and discourage his creation?

It's in her Stride...

Stride:  v. 1. Walk with long, decisive steps in a specified direction
                     - decisive: (of a person) Having or showing the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively
2. v. Cross (an obstacle) with one long step

3. n. A step or stage in progress toward an aim

As women of God we must stride towards our purpose in Christ Jesus.  We must be able to stride past obstacles, construction, and avoid pits in our walk with God. Our stride must be long steady steps towards his destination for our lives. We should walk with confidence as each step presses firmly on the ground. Our rock is the Lord Jesus Christ, so we should rest assured that each step is ordered by God by continuing in prayer throughout our day. God is constantly elevating us and we are learning him the more as we stride.

Each step we make is a step of progress from our past relationships, friendships, and mistakes.  Yes, you will endure in your stride. We go through storms, rains, over hills, and we must keep the pace. We must remember that we have past that part of our lives and never walk backwards or continue in a cycle. A stride is a step forward! When we are stepping forward we must look forward. We should never look back  because we then miss out on what God is trying to show us.  Every obstacle is a testimony to glorify God. Every situation is temporary!

When you stride you have the ability to step over things that were setup to trip you. For example, a pot hole in the ground, you see it in advance, you are prepared to step over it in your stride. In your stride you must be able to make quick decisions and be able to adjust to change. Remember to always pray a covering over yourself and those you are dealing with each day. You never know how the enemy is working against you so you want to be prepared.

Stride with Confidence because you know God is in control.
Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Keep the PACE!
Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Never give up!
2 Chronicles 20:17
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Living Holy, Who said it was Easy...

In a conversation with another sister in Christ, the comment was made that living Holy isn't easy, because of all the sin in the world everywhere you go. Well, I can agree it is not easy especially for someone new in Christ. Many of us see people doing it everyday and you wonder, How do they do it ? or Do they ever get tempted?

Psalm 101:1-4

I will sing of mercy and justice;
To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
2
I will behave wisely in a perfect way.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3
I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not cling to me.
4
A perverse heart shall depart from me;
I will not know wickedness.

Yes, everyone gets tempted, but you do not have to give in to temptation. Even the devil tempted Jesus while he was fasting. And to say your never tempted isn't true, because we are flesh but everyone may not have the same temptation.  One person may not feel tempted in one thing while that same thing could be a temptation to someone else.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
We must learn how to rise above temptation and separate ourselves spiritually & naturally from ungodly things that will tempt us.

Ps. 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

We might even have to release some friendships that seem to bring us back to the past we are giving up for Christ. Yes, that is hard, to give up years of friendships just to maintain a Holy lifestyle. I want you to know that God will send you friends with the same belief and thoughts as he and you. They will be people you can pray with, sing praises with, and enjoy God with them as well. You will no longer feel you have to hide your beliefs to keep a friend. If they are real friends they will respect your lifestyle change and not persecute you.

Sometimes it seems like your losing a lot but actually your gaining more than you can imagine.

Matt. 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Also to keep a solid foundation in Christ you must stay in your word. You have to keep reading the Bible and learning the steps to being like Christ. The Bible shows you how to live with sin all around you and be above it.  When you are feeling tempted to slip back, you will have the word of God hidden in your heart and able to repeat God's word in times of distress or weakness. You can even use it to help friends and family, you know will benefit from God's wisdom.
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

As women, we have to break free from ungodly relationships and not enter into relationships with gentlemen who look good but we know their not good for you.  The feeling of loneliness will try to come up on you but again you will rise above it.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Rise above your emotions. Rise above your flesh. Rise above and be lifted up. Why? Because you uplift the name of Jesus he will continue to elevate you!

1 Corinthians 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Jesus has been the best example of a disciplined person in life. If fasting was needed, He Fasted. Prayer needed, he prayed. Time to teach, he taught.  He was always quick to move when the word of God was given, spoken, and heard. When you read the life of Christ, you can see how important disciplined lifestyle is for men & women of God.

Proverbs 25:28  A person without self-control is as defenseless as a city with broken-down walls.

Real Love...How do you know?

So How do you know?..... if it is well Real?!?!?!

It's  funny how you go to a restaurant and I, myself, love Coca Cola, and it puzzles me when asked by a waiter or waitress, What do you like to drink? I would say," well Coke" and they would say, " Pepsi?" or " RC?" as if there the same but it is not the REAL thing. It doesn't taste the same and the exterior isn't the same. It is more like the generic form of Coke. I do not take any substitutes or look-alike to the real thing.

One thing I have learned in my relationship with God is REAL love. Last, Sunday at church, God's loves overflowed the atmosphere and I felt his anointing shower love on me. This love can not be written about in movies, it is not scripted, or man made. His love sometimes feels unexplainable to those that have no relationship with him but yet we try day to day to help others understand this love is real.

His love is pure. It is without blemish. Just as our Worship to him should be. His love is without judgement but does come with rebuke, consequences, and order. Yes, God does let you know your going against his word and truth but he does it with grace and mercy.

Yes, his love does not lie. Unbelievable isn't it? With lies being spoken to you everyday and played out for you on television. You can trust him at his word. He left his word so we would have a resource to carry us along our journey with him and to try to bring an understanding of his love. His word is an example of his love.

His love is unconditional. He shares his love with you even when your undeserving. When you deny him or when you do not recognize who he is in your life and ignore his call out to you. He loves you! He showed us his love in giving his life then rose on the third day and he had not met you yet! But he did it. He did it for you and me, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, mom and dad.

His love is forgiving. He forgives but we lag in our forgiveness. We even come up with reasons why our UN-forgiveness is justified as if we can change but others can't. He laughs and we call ourselves one of his own. Yet, we can't let go of the past to SOAR in our future. Then we wonder why our blessings are held up because we blocked up with UN-forgiveness.

His love is action. We can see it. With every sun rise and every sunset, his love is visible to us so how can we question it? But we do. Was his death not enough? Was his pain not enough? He wakes you up every morning. That is his love in your face reflected through the mirrors. His love.

Real love is tangible. Real love is brings joy with every new day with HIM. Real love is roughing it through the storm together. Real love is not associated with abuse physical or mental. It is not forced but is given willingly.  That is why I willingly surrender to Praising him and Worshiping him in spite of everything else in the world. Real love requires communication. Real love starts in friendships.

Real love accepts you. Real love expects great works from you and works you; not against you. Real love has memories you can smile about the next day and years later. It is comforting. It isn't perfect but worked to perfection by the word of God.

Real love requires work. It is built on a solid foundation and let me tell you...God is the only ROCK I know! So, build on him, not on you, they, or them because when you build on him, you & him with God, will stand. When your sick, real love takes the time to get you back to health.

Real love taught by God can be exhibited in your smile, eyes, walk, talk and lifestyle. Real love doesn't separate you from family or friends buts draws you together through thick and thin but it can not dwell with sin.

Real love brings abundance, elevation, promotion, peace, joy, strength, endurance, health, faith, trust, and overflow.

Wait for God to teach you and show you his real love. His Fresh Holy Anointed LOVE.
You would never settle for any substitutes once you have surrendered to his Real love.

Be Blessed

Your worthy of MUCH more... So Why settle?

Waiting... Waiting... Waiting...

So your waiting for Mr. Right to find you, come, and sweep you off your feet, for the music to play as you go running on the beach or a field to each other. Magical right? Too bad life is not a pre-scripted movie. You do not know the next scene and that he is not Mr. Right. The emotions are not played out but their real. Your a real person with real feelings and it is not always a happy ending. Especially, when your doing it your way or on your own and when you settle for Mr. Right Now, Mr. Convenient, or Mr. A-Okay. Are you not worth the wait? Can you not wait for God to Bless you with his connection? Yes, you can!
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;...
Your an amazing person. You have accomplished amazing things with God. Your independent, compassionate, and a blessing in the making. You are worth the best. So, why you keep settling for less? Yes, your waiting. Yes, it seems long and you can become impatient but you have come too far to just BE with someone just to past the time away. There is so much more you could be doing with your time and emotions. Waiting isn't easy especially when your young and it can be even harder as you get older. God blesses those that wait.

Psalm 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Wait and let God connect you to your other half. Yes, society is always in your face telling you, "Your getting older, Life is passing you by, Your too picky, No one is perfect." Does that mean you have to lower your standards, ethnics, morals, and desires for someone who doesn't have the same faith as you? Noooooo.. God is the one who set the standards within you. He made you that way. He made you with high hopes, dreams, desires, and goals. He gave you ambitions. He enlarged your territory and built your faith in him. Only God can bring them down or take them away. Only you can let them go.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

The virtuous woman...Her Price...
You can't buy her with material things. Though she looks like a million bucks. She loves the Lord with her whole heart. Yes, she walks as a queen but  has a heart of a servant. She strides with confidence and smiles with assurance. She dresses herself with a royalty appeal. Her hands are blessed. Anyone that knows her praises her character and personality. She is a blessing to her neighbors and friends. Her qualities are endless. She cooks, cleans, manages her house, has her own business, and makes her own money. If your not exhibiting these qualities, you better start to work on it now, because this is a lifestyle for her. Become that rare jewel that is worthy of the best that God has to offer.

In addition, fear is also a cause for settling. Fear of being alone. Fear of living alone. Fear of eating alone. Fear of never being loved or being in love. Fear, is always trying to remove your FAITH, trying to paralysis you and trap you but your bigger than that! God is bigger than that and stronger.Your worthy of much more.

Passage 1 John 4:4:
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Next you start to think, maybe its me, maybe I am the problem. Well if your exhibiting Godly character and substance then your not the problem. Let God prepare you for your spouse. It is in his word. Take your time to read the Proverbs 31 Woman. She is the example of a great leading lady.

Be patient as you wait. Be productive as you wait. Pray as you wait. Waiting isn't just sitting at the corner everyday looking for him to drop out the sky. You should prepare for him. How? By already walking and talking as a wife with Christ. Get involve in your local church and ministry. Start reading your Bible and join church organizations for women.  Stop sitting there making yourself miserable. Start making friends and spending time with them doing something positive in Godly fun.

Never allow someone to use you, mistreat you, walk over you and lie to you. You are bigger, greater, and smarter than that. You know someone is no good for you yet you keep answering the calls, texts, emails, and facebook messages. Why are you checking their facebook to see if they have moved on? Come on now. Your bigger than that. Your worthy of much more.

Proverbs 18:22:
22Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

A good thing. Let's define Good...
 morally excellent; virtuous; righteous;
of high quality; excellent;  honorable or worthy; in good standing;
reliable; dependable;  financially sound or safe;  not spoiled or tainted
cheerful; optimistic;  skillfully or expertly done; favorably regarded;
profit or advantage; worth; benefit:
moral righteousness; virtue

So if your not a GOOD thing or a GOD thing, which I like to use, than how can you expect God to give you someone your not even worthy of having?

Proverbs 12:4 A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

Interesting...

Are you honorable to have? Are you skillfully done in your apparel, make-up, and image? Can you be well displayed as a crown or should you be hidden like decayed bones?
And when people see you do they ever have anything good to say about you. Are you a good thing to have or not?  Does God speak highly of you? Well you should make sure he does since he is the one doing the divine connections.  I know there are many who believe that one person can't be meant for one person but I look at Adam and Eve. I only know Adam and Eve.

Genesis 2:18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

Remember when God is part of the connection the marriage is like a braid that no man can depart because God is in the middle of the connection. It is strong and solid. No, I am not saying there are perfect marriage because there are no perfect people but with God every shower won't be a storm and every whirl wind will be a breeze. Only if God is the source and connection in the marriage.

You are worthy of much more. You are worthy! Worthy!

Silent Killer: Emotional Abuse

What is Emotional Abuse?
- any behavior that is designed to control and subjugate another human being through the use of fear, humiliation, intimidation, guilt, and manipulation that wears away at the victim's self-confidence, sense of self-worth, trust in their own perceptions, and self-concept.
- anything from verbal abuse and constant criticism to more subtle tactics, such as repeated disapproval or even the refusal to ever be pleased.
With constant berating and belittling, by intimidation, or under the guise of "guidance," "teaching", or "advice," that results in the person clinging to the abuser because they do not want to be alone.

For more information: http://eqi.org/eabuse1.htm#What%20is%20Emotional%20Abuse?

Many women today are dealing with emotional abuse. Surprised? I am too. Just think you can go to work or school everyday. You would enjoy lunch with a co-worker or school mate, maybe even do some small talk here and there. Then one day you find out this strong, independent, outgoing, and caring woman is being abused by her mate. Well, you may be going through this right now and not even know it.

A girl in one of my classes got up and spoke about her abuse. She gave her testimony of being in this abusive relationship. It just shocked me. I had been sitting by her every class and I didn't know. Now she is not in this relationship now but she was giving her speech in class. Though I did not know her before, I was so proud of her for USING HER VOICE! No longer was she keeping silent about her experience. She spoke. He could not stop her from speaking up anymore. She smiled. The smile he tried to take away from her. She got it back. She laughs and tells jokes. He did not have her joy. His abuse was no longer taking her life. She has reclaimed her voice. Because of her voice another girl in my class heard. She spoke about her current abuse. She gave her the courage to speak up. Many people deny and pretend but it is time to stop and stand.

Now I know many of us would say this would never happen to me but it could be happening to you right now!  Let me encourage you to speak up about your situation. We care about you. You care about yourself, right?  Then you should not stand for your abuse anymore. Arrive..You are BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, TRUE, and NATURALLY YOU! You are BIGGER than you appear. You are STRONGER than you seem. For example you have been dealing with a abuse for so long and your still kicking!
The task ahead of you, is never as great as the power behind you.
Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
- Ephesians 6:10

If there is anyone dealing with emotional abuse. Speak. Use your voice. Your God given Voice! I am here and I am sure there are many people around you who do care.

I know it will be difficult but you need your freedom back! You will no longer be imprisoned by someone else.
Use your voice. Speak UP!
