Image is Everything...

My Vintage Looks
When your coming to church...Image is Everything!

How you present yourself says something, the question is, What do you want to say? Many people debate this topic over and over again but I am not here to debate. I am here to educate. If you can wear the right apparel for job interviews than why not to church? And you can do as the employer ask in the dress code but find it offensive by the church to be asked to dress a certain way. Come on Women of GOD!

Proverbs 31:25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

25Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future [the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it]!

As a young woman in the church and ministry, I have learned how to present myself to the body of Christ in order to be received, because my purpose/message is bigger than my attire so why debate over it? So, You haven't been to church in a while and if your like me you want to stay fashionable.

Remember when your getting dressed for church service that you are not going to the mall, kicking it with your friends, or school. You are going to church. This is the Kingdom of God and we must remember that when we are getting dressed for church.

For example, if you put on an outfit and your first thought is "Wow, this makes me look sexy" Sexy should not be your agenda when attending church. I am sorry. God does not want to know how sexy you can dress in his temple.

Nor does God want to know how great your legs look in heels so, please bring the skirt length down. I'm sorry. That is not why we come to church. We should not aim to be a distraction in the church. That is not our goal. Yes, your beautiful! You must believe that even without dressing that way in church. We are Queens and Princesses in God's kingdom and we should look that way at all times. What  I am saying is, you can look fashion trendy, holy, and acceptable to Jesus Christ all at the same time.

Everyone expects church to take you as you are even after you have come to the knowledge of what is right. It is just like a job, you might wear one thing and they tell you hey, the employer say no to that, be honest we will not wear it again. Why? Cause we want to keep our job but we feel that God gets what I give him. We should dress as royalty, clothing ourselves in righteousness and holiness. God should be the one shining through us.

One thing my Pastor always tells us, God will bring the conviction and change so, you do not have to tell people, you just walk in it and God will do the rest. When your really after God own heart, you will do it, cause your sincere about God but those of you who know better but do whatever, Lets do better for the King. It is all to the King.

Take value in your attire. Dress as a Virtuous Woman. Walk as a Holy woman.

Real Love...How do you know?

So How do you know?..... if it is well Real?!?!?!

It's  funny how you go to a restaurant and I, myself, love Coca Cola, and it puzzles me when asked by a waiter or waitress, What do you like to drink? I would say," well Coke" and they would say, " Pepsi?" or " RC?" as if there the same but it is not the REAL thing. It doesn't taste the same and the exterior isn't the same. It is more like the generic form of Coke. I do not take any substitutes or look-alike to the real thing.

One thing I have learned in my relationship with God is REAL love. Last, Sunday at church, God's loves overflowed the atmosphere and I felt his anointing shower love on me. This love can not be written about in movies, it is not scripted, or man made. His love sometimes feels unexplainable to those that have no relationship with him but yet we try day to day to help others understand this love is real.

His love is pure. It is without blemish. Just as our Worship to him should be. His love is without judgement but does come with rebuke, consequences, and order. Yes, God does let you know your going against his word and truth but he does it with grace and mercy.

Yes, his love does not lie. Unbelievable isn't it? With lies being spoken to you everyday and played out for you on television. You can trust him at his word. He left his word so we would have a resource to carry us along our journey with him and to try to bring an understanding of his love. His word is an example of his love.

His love is unconditional. He shares his love with you even when your undeserving. When you deny him or when you do not recognize who he is in your life and ignore his call out to you. He loves you! He showed us his love in giving his life then rose on the third day and he had not met you yet! But he did it. He did it for you and me, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, mom and dad.

His love is forgiving. He forgives but we lag in our forgiveness. We even come up with reasons why our UN-forgiveness is justified as if we can change but others can't. He laughs and we call ourselves one of his own. Yet, we can't let go of the past to SOAR in our future. Then we wonder why our blessings are held up because we blocked up with UN-forgiveness.

His love is action. We can see it. With every sun rise and every sunset, his love is visible to us so how can we question it? But we do. Was his death not enough? Was his pain not enough? He wakes you up every morning. That is his love in your face reflected through the mirrors. His love.

Real love is tangible. Real love is brings joy with every new day with HIM. Real love is roughing it through the storm together. Real love is not associated with abuse physical or mental. It is not forced but is given willingly.  That is why I willingly surrender to Praising him and Worshiping him in spite of everything else in the world. Real love requires communication. Real love starts in friendships.

Real love accepts you. Real love expects great works from you and works you; not against you. Real love has memories you can smile about the next day and years later. It is comforting. It isn't perfect but worked to perfection by the word of God.

Real love requires work. It is built on a solid foundation and let me tell you...God is the only ROCK I know! So, build on him, not on you, they, or them because when you build on him, you & him with God, will stand. When your sick, real love takes the time to get you back to health.

Real love taught by God can be exhibited in your smile, eyes, walk, talk and lifestyle. Real love doesn't separate you from family or friends buts draws you together through thick and thin but it can not dwell with sin.

Real love brings abundance, elevation, promotion, peace, joy, strength, endurance, health, faith, trust, and overflow.

Wait for God to teach you and show you his real love. His Fresh Holy Anointed LOVE.
You would never settle for any substitutes once you have surrendered to his Real love.

Be Blessed

Grow Up, Woman of God!

There is a point in every woman's life when she has to GROW UP! She has to make her own DECISIONS and choices. A point where she PLANS her life and  presents it to God. She LISTENS to God as she develops their goals. Yes, their goals!

There is point when she PRAYS to God for her relationships and friendships. She can not hide behind family or blend in with little sister/bro or BIG sister/bro.

Through prayer she develops her own identity, style, and personality. She is HONEST about her dislikes and likes and walks in INTEGRITY. She acknowledges faults and weaknesses while striving for perfection. She faces the fears and challenges of day to day life. Yes, the responsibility is great but so are the blessings.

At this point she gives God control of her life fully and accepts her destined purpose. She is more SUPPORTIVE and less argumentative. She is more understanding and more knowledgeable.  How profound is his glory, which hangs from her head and BLESSED are her hands, which she uses to bake bread.

She realizes who she is and who she belongs too, God. She is no longer trying reach unrealistic expectations because God says, For I know the plans I have for you. When she thinks about her past, she knows how far she has grown from it, accepts her mistakes and failures, and she is able to FORGIVE and let go.

She is a woman of the now not the yesterday. She knows, hears, and sees everything that is going on around her. Sometimes, she can be strong willed and other times she is shy but she has learned to stand regardless.
She knows she can be hurt, she is human, not wonder woman or a super hero but she knows who to call to mend her broken heart.
At this point, she knows where her TRUST lays, who to tell her secrets to, and who she can depend on. God. Her loyalty lays in his FAITHFULNESS to her. Her life depends on his COMMITMENT to her.

No more toying with her life and playing games. No more time wasted on relationships that do not give God praise.

A woman of excellence she will be, in her stride, her talk, her language and lifestyle. It is understood she is a goal worth pursuing and he calls her by name every morning. She recognizes his voice and answers with PRAISE! He is God.

She finds JOY in the simple things he created, from the sun & moon, to the sea & sky.

Now she knows, that this is the TIME, the point, the SEC, and minute, she must GROW UP! She must GROW UP!

Grow Up, Woman of God!
